The challenge of poetry inspired by le foret
Giggles in Le Foret
Paris, memories of our charmed voyages, Discussions of art, giggling, champagne revelries, Art deco dancers sputtering in firefly light, Never clichés of extravagant perfumed scent, Your dazzling vision of a sleepy empress. Talks of your nose then caused desperate rages, You are too self-conscious in your nose job memories, Our discord never escalated to a fight, Fortunately, I knew what your humble words meant, Sword clutched in hand, you pose in a silver dress. Immortality, your nubile form in future ages, Ethereal music, le foret, and golden faeries, Marble limbs beckon sprites in midsummer flight, My scrawling, lost in labyrinth love, lazily sent, I never dreamt to caress your flaxen tresses.
